I love...

Hi!

Today I'm sharing my take on Color Stories Inspiration Case Number 171 - it's a beaut!

Here is how I solved the case:

Scheme : all there
Evidence : artisan shape, cork, wood, dots
Testimony : Journal Jar Prompt : 10 greatest joys, journaling on the back

I'm an optimistic person at heart and therefore I almost always choose to see the good in what life has given me, despite the heartache I've been given.  My ten greatest joys...
1. Being a mom to this child of mine.  She is my grounding.  She is my entertainment.  She is my heart.  She is my joy.  She is my little dream come true and I really don't know where I would be right now were it not for her.  What a privilege for me to have been chosen to be her mommy.
2. Love.  It fills my heart in abundance and I have a whole bunch of it to give.  The best feeling in the world is to love and be loved.
3. Family.  I'm very close to my family and we always have each others' backs.  Always protecting each other and always looking out for each other. Family gatherings where we laugh and joke and tease lift me and fills me and completes me.
4. Friends.  I'm so blessed with a very large amount of friends.  I honestly cannot say who is my dearest or closest friend because they all provide a unique role in my life.  Receiving support and love from my friends mostly leaves me quite in awe.
5. My craft.  I can say with all honesty that the minute I sit down at my desk in my craft studio, the world disappears and I am smiling.  My craft is all the therapy I need to release the world for a few hours.
6. Yoga.  My other therapy.  Yoga has helped me in so many ways over more than a decade.  I cannot imagine my life without asana's and sun salutations and meditation.  It brings me back into myself and helps me get in tune with my head, heart and body.
7. Writing / Blogging.  Another source of therapy for me.  I've always loved writing and I am able to express myself properly when I blog or write.
8. Tea.  Oh my.  My day does not start until that very first sip of extra strong tea.
9.  A piping hot bath.  Nothing soothes my body more than immersing it into a piping hot bath.  I lie with my head under the water, close my eyes, listen to my breathing and just release all my tension into that decadent water.
10. Creating a new life.  This is a work in progress.  The fact that I have achieved so much in such a short space of time makes me very proud.  And what makes me prouder still is knowing that I still have a way to go and I know I can do this!!

Hilarious Ridiculous

Hi!

Today I'd like to share with you, my take on the latest sketch at Let's Scrap!

It's such a great sketch!  Here is what I did with it:

And now for some closeups!!!

I used all different forms of stars!  Wood, chippies, stickers.  I wanted them to stand out more, so I stitched around the odd one.

For the white corrugated pieces on my whole page, I coloured the edges with Gelato's and then smudged them to create a shading effect.  The chippie stars were all misted and then I used my Glossy Accents on some of them to enhance them.

The title chippie was painted first in white craft paint, then misted and then randomly embossed using UTEE.  I stitched underneath to make them stand out.

You Shine

Life has been really busy for me this week (yes, it's only Tuesday) and it's not going to let up until Isabella's birthday party is done and dusted on Saturday!!  So much to still do, plan, create......

That aside, I'm in a horrid emotional state... I'll not bore you with those details.

So.  Without further ado, here is my take on the latest gorgeous challenge over at Color Stories Inspiration.  I'm still so very thrilled to be on their DT!  It is a long standing dream come true...

Here is how I solved the case:

Scheme : all there
Evidence : triangles, windows, flair, stars, metal
Testimony : from Friday Four Fill In Fun "hearing_____makes me______

Bluebird.  Hearing your laughter makes me fly.  The sound as it bubbles from the very depth of your belly and out of your precious mouth is absolutely euphoric to my ears.  Not to mention totally contagious!!  I love to make you  laugh, just so that I can hear it and let it help lift my spirits; make me feel at peace and know that despite the stresses that comes with being an adult, there is always something to laugh about. I do not know where I would be without you.

Our Orb

Hi!

Been such a busy week for me, this past one!  It's such a relief that everything has returned to normal this week - that said, I'm crazy busy again!  So much on the go..

Anyway!

Today I'm sharing my take on the gorgeous new challenge at CSI, which includes a stunning sketch by my precious Em. Go take a look at the gorgeous inspiration of the other DT and guest designers - this really is a stunning batch!

Here is how I solved the case:

Scheme : all there
Evidence : chalk, stamps, loops, diamond shapes, pearls
Testimony : IW light, journaling on the back
I've often seen how angels appear as orbs in photographs, so when you and I had our Mother-Daughter photoshoot earlier this year, I so hoped that your daddy would show his presence with us in some way or form.
Aside from all the feathers we saw on the actual day, I was so very happy to see an orb in a few of the photographs once I had received them.  I knew that daddy would be right there with us - and this confirmed it for me.
While some might say it was merely a trick of the light - I stand firm that it was daddy. Right there, watching over us and smiling along with us.

Close-ups!
